Sephora Pro Palette

Hey everyone!

Today I am reviewing the new Sephora Pro palettes. There are three different palettes warm, cool, and editorial. The packaging is so good. They feel very heavy and the swatches are amazing. They are not for sale just yet, but will be July 14. I was lucky enough to be able to see and play with the warm and cool palette early. I will say the colors are gorgeous and I was so excited to play with it. When I swatched them I really didn’t know which one I wanted.

 I really thought about it and I don’t really have a lot of cool tone palettes. So that’s the one I was going to get. Then I got to play with it and I was saldly disappointed. The shadows had very little pigment from brush to eye. I had to keep going back into the pan to get the color payoff I want. There was also a lot of fall out. The shimmers are basically pressed glitters. They were very sheer. 

If you do still want to purchase these palettes, just know that you definitely have to build and you’ll spend a lot more time blending. Finger swatches are better than a brush because you have to keep packing it on.

The Star Palette by Natasha Denona

Hey everybody.

Today, I am reviewing the Star Palette by Natasha Denona. I will say that this palette is $169. Yea, $169. It’s kinda ridiculous. A lot of people love her makeup line. So I was curious about all the hype and I will say the formula is great. The packaging is sturdy and simplistic. I will say after doing research on Natasha Denona I understand the sleekness.

On Sephora’s website, in this palette there are 18 eyeshadows including never-before-seen textures. There are four crystal shadows, nine creamy matte shadows, three metallic shadows and two duo-chrome shadows. 

I will say the crystal eye shadows were a little crumbly. Since they act like a pressed glitter, they do have fall out but that is to be expected. If you want a more intense shimmer, spray your brush with Mac Fix+ or Urban Decay All Nighter. 

The duo-chromes are really nice. Orion, which is the green duo-chrome, does have a red undertone. It’s really pretty but I felt like they wanted to fall apart when I swatched them. 

The metallics were very creamy. I didn’t need to add a setting spray to intensify when using these shadows.

The mattes were really nice but there was a lot of kick back. I didn’t see a lot of fall out and the shadows blended like butter. 

All in all, I will say this is a great palette, if you own it. I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it, if you don’t. The shadows were very creamy but if you have a heavy hand going into the shadows, besides the matte shades, they could possibly fall apart.

The Magic by Juvia’s

Hi everybody. 
So today I will be reviewing The Magic by Juvia’s palette. This is my second palette from this company and I am so impressed by pigmentation and the sheer size of the eye shadows. Literally, the eye shadows are the size of half dollar. When I first bought it, I thought it was going to be a small palette but nope it is a nice medium size palette. 

I first heard of Juvia’s Place from NikkieTutorial. The link is her review of the Magic palette from her YouTube channel. I already knew that Juvia’s Place would have amazing pigmentation but the look she created was what sold me. I fell in love with the pink colors, Osun and Zuba. Those were the only colors I was looking forward to, but when I saw it in person I fell hard for the other colors as well. 

The Magic palette was inspired by the moon and sun goddesses of the wild. There are 16 eye shadows both cool and warm tones. You can go from day to night using only one palette. 

The shimmer shadows are sooo buttery. The matte shadows are a little dry but still blend beautifully. I do wish there was a dark brown transition color for darker looks. Also a mirror would be nice as well. At the same time, the palette is pretty big holding up the entire palette just for a mirror is kinda hard.
